Festa is a free, virtual event creation and finding app that will change the way events and parties are created and experienced. This application will allow users to find parties, restaurant deals, bar deals, concerts, nightclubs and much more to enrich their college experience!

FIND EVENTS AND PARTIES NEAR YOU:
Want to go out with friends on a Friday night? Looking for deals at restaurants and bars? Using Festa, you can find a list of all the events and parties going on around you at any time! You can even adjust the distance filter if you want something closer or are willing to go farther!

CREATE AND MANAGE EVENTS EFFICIENTLY AND SAFELY:
As the host of a public event, you can set the event as open or closed depending on the situation! So if too many people show up, you can simply close the event and users will no longer get details for the event. In the case of an emergency in a private event such as overcrowding or an injury, you can use the alert system feature and send an emergency message, which will send a push notification and have the phones of all attendees buzz/ring to ensure the message is received.

FEATURES:
Once Festa is launched, users will sign up using their Facebook accounts. After the account is created, the application will automatically open to its public wall feed. In the public wall feed, there will be a list of events in chronological order by date. The user has the option to change the distance of the events by dragging the radius bar at the top of the screen. Each listing will have basic information regarding the event including time, date, etc. The public event listing offers a blogging feature, which allows users to comment on and rate the event, based on their experience. The private feed will only show events that the user has been individually invited to. Some key distinctive features are the alert system and the messaging system within a private event. A private event will have a group messenger, which allows users who were invited to the event to chat with each other. Festa is an easy and interactive way to not only create and find events, but also meet new people with common interests and have a great time!
